SPA Newsletter - aurora alert

Auroral activity is being reported tonight across much of the UK and Europe, after the impact of a Coronal Mass Ejection from the Sun delivered a glancing blow to the Earth in the late afternoon. The BBC reports that displays have been seen as far south as Essex.
